Wireless measurement data collection for Delfin instruments
DMC Software Package
The DMC Software Package transfers measurement data wirelessly from Delfin devices to your computer, enabling fast analysis and secure storage.

DMC Software Package – Wireless data collection and transfer
All Delfin instruments can be used either as stand-alone devices or measurement data may be collected wirelessly to the Delfin Modular Core Software (DMC). The DMC has a multilingual user interface. It allows users to set up individual projects, store and view measurement data and plot the results or export them to other programs for editing.
The DMC software package includes the software, the wireless receiver unit to be plugged into the computer’s USB port and the RoomSensor.

Benefits
- Measurement results wirelessly to the computer
- RoomSensor for detecting ambient temperature and relative humidity
- Versatile project protocols and data collection
- Printing and graphic display of measured data<
- Data exportable as CSV format

FAQs
FAQs
Delfin Modular Core (DMC) is a software platform designed for creating study protocols and collecting measurement data from Delfin devices. It provides a centralized environment for managing study measurements, recording data consistently, and supporting efficient research workflows across all Delfin measurement technologies.
DMC is compatible with all Delfin measurement devices. By using a common software platform, researchers can collect data from multiple Delfin instruments within the same study while maintaining a consistent workflow, unified data structure, and centralized data collection process.
DMC streamlines the data collection process by transferring measurement results directly from Delfin devices to the study database. This reduces the need for manual data entry, helping minimize transcription errors, improve data consistency, and increase overall study efficiency.
Yes. Measurement data can be exported as CSV files for analysis in third-party software such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, R, SAS, or other statistical analysis tools. DMC focuses on efficient and reliable data collection, while allowing researchers to perform statistical analysis using their preferred software environment.
Yes. DMC automatically records measurement timestamps for every sample, helping researchers accurately track when measurements were performed. This improves study documentation, supports longitudinal studies, and reduces the risk of errors associated with manual record keeping.
The DMC Software Package includes RoomSensor, a wireless device that continuously measures ambient temperature and relative humidity in the study environment. When RoomSensor is used in the measurement room, these environmental parameters are automatically recorded alongside each measurement sample in DMC.
This information can be particularly valuable during data analysis, especially in long-term studies spanning different seasons or changing environmental conditions. Ambient temperature and humidity can influence measurements such as transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and skin hydration, making it important to document and consider these factors when interpreting study results.
